SEEN Inclusive Education was co-founded by Heather and Calvin Lo, a couple committed to advancing inclusive education and youth development.
Their combined expertise focuses on advocating for neurodiversity awareness while prioritizing inclusion. Through SEEN, they design, develop, and implement strategies that foster inclusive excellence across various regions.

Calvin is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Education at The University of Hong Kong, where he co-develops and co-lectures two M.Ed courses. His goal is to empower educators to incorporate Human-Centred Design into their teaching practices.

Bringing over 21 years of international education experience to the table, she is trained and US state board certified in several key areas to include: educational leadership, multilingual learner specialist teaching, and counseling. She also holds a post-graduate degree in educational psychology from the UK and is nearing completion of her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.
Heather applies evidence-based, research-informed practices and designs responsive systems to meet diverse needs within US and UK education systems throughout Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
With extensive experience in Strategic and Experience Design from corporate consultancy, serving clients like HSBC, HSBC Life, CLP Power, Hong Kong Observatory, Calvin provides expert advice to university professors and international NGOs like AIESEC and Engineers Without Borders - HK.
Calvin focuses on tailored design and coaching of Human-Centred Design, equipping multidisciplinary teams, high school, undergraduates, and master's degree learners, as well as aspiring change-makers in the non-profit sectors to leverage on the power of Systems and Design Thinking for meaningful and sustainable social impact.

Qualifications & Expertise
Both Heather and Calvin both recognize that lived experiences combined with learning are crucial for remaining relevant and making a meaningful impact in their advocacy for inclusion in education. Lifelong learning is essential for remaining relevant and impactful in our pursuit of inclusive education.
To fulfil this mission, they are actively engaged in postgraduate and PhD studies, simultaneously advising and coaching a diverse array of professionals and institutions. This commitment to ongoing research education underscores their dedication to advocacy and continuous growth in the field.

Heather is conducting academic research on inclusion policies in Malaysia and Hong Kong and their impact on secondary school student well-being in public and international schools.
Calvin is pursuing two Master's Degrees in Education - Advanced Teaching, and Design and Social Innovation. He also conducts research in the field of AI and Education, while supporting Heather in a number of ways with her PhD research
